On a typical day, you might be leading a team to produce engineering substantiation or authoring a complex safety case, justifying and supporting critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Alternatively, you may influence the client’s strategic direction to address structural integrity challenges associated with new build designs or the continued operation of existing assets, network to develop the business pipeline, or deliver technical presentations to regulators.
This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients from nuclear generation (Advanced Gas Cooled Reactors and Sizewell B), Rolls Royce Pressurized Water Reactors, nuclear new build projects such as Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, including innovative players from the fusion and SMR markets. You will be keen to lead technical project delivery, address complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. You should have a drive to deliver excellent technical work, paying attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture.
You will also contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within Atkins Réalis, leveraging our global expertise to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring junior engineers to support growth, enhance project delivery capabilities, and develop your leadership skills.
