Full Job Description

Alexander Steele is partnering with a global food manufacturing business to find a Regional HSE Manager who will lead the HSE function across two sites in the West Midlands. The role involves influencing at all levels within this blue-chip company.

The sites are within a 45-minute commute from each other, with an expectation of 2 days at one site and 3 days at the other.

The client has a significant investment plan and is seeking a leading HSE expert to drive both current and future strategies for the sites.

Ideal candidates will have a background in HSE roles within FMCG manufacturing or in industries with high regulations or hazardous environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring HS systems comply with legislation and corporate standards.
2. Developing and implementing continuous improvements in EHS management systems and plans.
3. Collaborating with regulatory bodies and reporting incidents and investigations.
4. Reviewing and developing risk assessments and ensuring staff are properly trained.
5. Conducting regular EHS inspections, promoting hazard reporting, and ensuring corrective actions are completed.

Candidate Requirements:

1. IOSH Managing Safety and NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
2. Experience with Health and Safety legislation.
3. Experience in FMCG or highly regulated/highly hazardous environments.

What’s On Offer:

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (flexibility required).
• Salary: £65,000
• Bonus, Pension, Private Health, 33 days holiday inclusive.
