Job description

Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers for initial 6 month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan surveillance interventions and activities to best mitigate supplier and technical risk.
  • Implements delivery of surveillance activities across a number of suppliers, managing allocation of resource to reflect priorities and plan workload.
  • Specify contract quality requirements and contribute to supplier selection.
  • Determine quality management and assurance approaches with suppliers and ensure technical risks are understood and managed.
  • Conduct and manage the delivery of QA surveillance in support of risk management, supplier oversight/assurance, verification, validation and acceptance, and flight indemnity.
  • Contribute to Quality investigations, root cause analysis, internal process performance improvement activities and supplier escalations/interventions.
  • Develop GQA strategies within small to medium project areas seeking innovative opportunities for effective and efficient deployment of GQA resources across the supply chain.
  • Identify and suggest creative or innovative solutions to provide improved performance and GQA service delivery

EXPERIENCE

  • Working towards Chartered Quality Professional (CQP),
  • Quality Practitioner or has demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • MOD Quality Practitioner License
  • Relevant Level 4 qualification (or higher)
  • Applied knowledge in the application of QA discipline within the acquisition environment supported by expertise in multiple QA specialist areas including Configuration Management.
  • Breadth of industry/manufacturing and QA experience gained from involvement with multiple projects and domains including supply chain engagement.
