Job description

Job Description

It’s an exciting time to join the Technology team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers, streamline, and automate our business processes, whilst ensuring the continued stability and performance of our legacy platforms. We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help deliver our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support Engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a product-led operating model, where all our teams are value stream aligned with all the different resource types needed to get from idea to done with minimal hand-offs. We are focused on building out our Single Digital Platform, centered around Salesforce, but involving a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications.

At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either working at your assigned local office or traveling elsewhere based on business need. Available local office locations are Leeds, Middlesborough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working in an agile delivery team to deliver secure and quality solutions to customers
  • Ensuring continual shift of secure, quality, and tested code activity left
  • Championing automation in the CICD DevOps cycle
  • Contributing to team ceremonies and planning sessions
  • Collaborating across development and testing to reduce handover times and focusing on and supporting the definition of done and the SDLC
  • Pairing or mobbing with the engineering team
  • Driving continual improvement, identifying areas of inefficiency, and demonstrating or facilitating change
  • Supporting delivery objectives, lifecycle management, and technical debt

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience working in high-performing engineering teams
  • Experience building synchronous and asynchronous solutions with the Microsoft Azure stack using .NET, including Azure functions, Azure app services, Azure service bus, and Azure storage
  • Track record of implementing well-tested high-quality code
  • Proven experience of building CI/CD yaml pipelines and infrastructure as code (Bicep or ARM preferred)
  • Any front-end web experience is a bonus
  • Ability to maintain code quality and standards
  • Knowledge of integrating with Salesforce is a bonus
  • Any knowledge of Azure B2C would be an asset

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

What we offer:

At AXA UK, we value our people, and our rewards package is regularly reviewed. You can expect to receive:

  • Competitive annual salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience

  • Contributory pension scheme (up to 12% employer contributions)
  • Life Assurance (up to 10 x annual salary)
