Salary: Starting basic salary is £42,798 for the first year, rising to £46,268 after one year.
Job description
The role also offers a technical framework allowance and disruption allowance, which you can apply for after completing your training and meeting the technical criteria. By your second year as a fully trained property specialist, you could earn £53,524, excluding overtime or on-call payments.
Flexible working: This role is primarily office-based due to the nature of the work. Once qualified, some flexibility or compressed hours may be available depending on training and business needs.

The Role
As a Maintenance Carpenter, your duties include maintenance, repair, and construction within secure facilities, including infrastructure hardening and creating bespoke spaces. You will produce technical drawings, select suitable materials, and perform tasks to high standards, following strict security protocols.
An exciting aspect is the potential deployment within the UK for intelligence gathering, utilizing your trade skills to contribute to national security.
This mostly Monday to Friday role may involve early starts, occasional late work, short-term travel, and potential overseas deployments. Overtime and on-call payments are available for additional hours.
About You
You should have a City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent in Carpentry and Joinery, and be comfortable with hand and power tools. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and good communication are essential. You must hold a full UK driving license and maintain fitness levels. Basic IT and report writing skills are also needed.
Training and Development
