PLUMBER – £38, | Full-Time | 39 Hours per Week | Based in Rutland

If you’re a qualified Plumber ready for stability, variety and pride in every job—this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Organisation

This isn’t a construction site or a housing contract. This is a large, prestigious, high-spec estate — made up of historic buildings, modern facilities, residential properties, and commercial spaces — all maintained to exceptional standards. The in-house Estates team takes real ownership of the work they do, and the Plumber role is at the heart of keeping this estate safe, warm and functioning with precision.

About the Job

This Plumber role offers far more than reactive callouts. It’s about full-scope mechanical maintenance and upgrades across a truly unique environment.

The successful Plumber will carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations across a range of systems and structures — including domestic and commercial heating, hot and cold water systems, pipework, pumps, PRVs, and expansion vessels. Projects range from servicing and fault-finding to supporting full-scale system replacements, with digital job management via a tablet for full transparency and efficiency.

Working as part of a highly skilled Estates team, the Plumber will contribute to the smooth running of an exceptional estate that values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and long-term reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and repair heating and hot water systems across residential and commercial buildings

•Undertake periodic servicing of boilers, pumps, PRVs, and expansion vessels

•Support replacement and upgrade projects, including pipework and fittings

•Work with a CAFM system to receive and close jobs using a tablet

•Ensure all plumbing and mechanical work complies with regulations and best practice

•Collaborate with other trades on site for smooth project delivery

•Maintain high standards of health & safety, including COSHH and asbestos awareness

•Ensure jobs are completed with clear notes, reports, and recommendations

•Respond to occasional emergency or urgent tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For in a Plumber

•City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Services

•Current ACS qualifications or equivalent: CCN1, CENWAT & HTR1

•Proven experience across plumbing, heating and mechanical maintenance

•Strong knowledge of water hygiene, ventilation and heating systems

•Ability to work with copper, plastic, iron and lead pipework

•Excellent understanding of gas legislation and plumbing regulations

•Familiarity with heating control systems and low-carbon technologies

•Competent IT skills, especially with tablets or CAFM software

•Full, clean UK Driving Licence

•£38, salary, full-time and permanent

•Monday to Friday schedule – no relentless shifts or callout chaos

•Use of digital job management tools – no endless paperwork

•All tools, uniform, and PPE provided

•Opportunities for additional training and development

•Join a respected, collaborative Estates team with long-term career paths

Why This Plumber Role Stands Out

For the right Plumber, this is a dream job: job security, genuine variety, and the chance to work somewhere that values professionalism over rushed patch jobs. You’ll enjoy every day knowing your work has a visible impact on a stunning estate — and you’ll be supported by a team that takes as much pride in their standards as you do.
