Job description

We are looking for:

Programme Tutor in Art & Design

Salary £32,304- £40,050

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to deliver high quality teaching and learning in our Creative area. You will have Creative industry experience and a degree in a Creative subject as well as your teaching qualification.

In this role, you will:

Deliver innovative and stimulating teaching, learning and assessment to enable your students to achieve stretching learning in 3D and 2D visual communication. You will be able to deliver a wide range of skills to art students including traditional and digital skills. You will teach across a wide range of courses delivering core art skills to students from level 1 to 3. You should be able to deliver lessons in traditional visual communication skills such as 3D making, printmaking, observational and experimental drawing, digital image making.

You will have a high level of knowledge and skill in areas of creative project management and will understand and be able to guide students through their project work using creative research and development processes involved particularly in the area of Fine Art.

The role will see you responsible for a group of our Creative learners, monitoring attendance, providing progress reviews, assessments and supporting their progression plans towards a career in the Creative Industries. This will include supporting their applications to Universities and producing CVs for employment.

Requirements:

  • Our tutors are dual practitioners and demonstrate expertise in teaching and learning as well as having recent experience and track record of working in the Creative Industries.
  • Qualifications could include BA Hons (Creative subject)
  • A recognised teaching qualification
