We're seeking a Sous Chef to join our talented culinary team at Farncombe, located within the scenic woodlands of our 500-acre Cotswolds Estate. The estate features two acclaimed restaurants: The Back Garden (3 AA rosettes, Michelin Guide listed) and the 'chef's table' 12-seater tasting restaurant MO (4 AA rosettes, Michelin Guide listed). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across both establishments.
You will assist in leading a team of dedicated, friendly, and organized chefs. Our kitchen benefits from continuous investment and high-quality equipment, fostering a great environment for work and learning. We prioritize using excellent ingredients from reputable suppliers and are passionate about sustainability and responsible sourcing.
The restaurant operations are overseen by Head Chef Mathieu Blanchard, who will support your learning, development, and growth within the estate. We are interested in candidates with experience in high-quality kitchens at a Senior CDP or Sous Chef level.
We offer a salary of just over £42,800 annually (£39,312 basic plus approximately £3,000-£3,500 in service charge), based on a 48-hour workweek. Our estate includes three award-winning hotels and kitchens, such as Foxhill Manor and The Fish Hotel, providing ample opportunities for career development and promotion.
