We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to provide care for individuals within our Specialist Care service in Gosport area.
As a Specialist Care Support Worker, your primary purpose will be to help individuals lead meaningful, independent lives, empowering them to pursue their goals, engage in hobbies, and participate in their local community.
Each person you support will have unique preferences and interests, and your role will be to facilitate their personal growth and well-being. Whether it's helping someone enjoy their favorite films, assisting with hobbies, or supporting them in their daily activities, your involvement will make a difference in their life.
We prefer candidates with full-time availability, though part-time roles may also be considered. Shifts are on a rota basis, with every other weekend required. Waking night shifts are also available.
Given the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence.

You’re an experienced, empathetic, and resilient support worker, dedicated to helping individuals with additional needs. You understand the challenges some people face, and you are confident in providing the right support in potentially difficult situations. You’re compassionate, observant, and patient, with a strong ability to monitor changes in mood and implement techniques to calm and de-escalate.
Ideally, you have experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including autism and other developmental or health challenges. You communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable individuals and their families, always adopting a person-centred approach.
As a member of our Specialist Care Support Team, you will make a positive difference in an individual’s life, helping them to meet their social, physical, and emotional needs. You will support them in their daily routines, encourage them to pursue their passions, and ensure they are able to be part of the local community. This will be achieved through a professional, positive, and person-centred approach in line with the values of SCA Care.
