Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate; other locations cannot be considered.

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a great job for someone who has extensive experience as a Financial Manager in complex organisations.

A bit about the job:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team are responsible for developing ambitious and robust Financial Plans, aligned to the Aviva Investors' Strategy, and enabling the development of clear targets to drive the direction of the business. You will take a lead on monitoring performance against Plans through regularly updated forecasts, insights and analysis, which provide senior management (Entity Boards, ExCo Members, Aviva Group) the information required to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions to drive the business accordingly. Alongside this, you will be running regular stress and scenario testing and winddown planning to keep the business safe and, working closely with the capital team, meeting ICARA requirements.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience of business planning, management accounting and external reporting, ideally within an Investment Management business
  • Expert understanding of all financial disciplines, modelling and reporting
  • Good understanding of strategic / business issues and investor relations
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets including impact of economic variables on valuation of financial assets
  • Understanding of financial systems and processes (Anaplan experience preferable)
