Job description

The Reinsurance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Reinsurance team with the Company's Inwards and Outwards Reinsurance strategies, as well as providing support for the Company's alternative reinsurance strategies.

  • Location: London
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  1. Reinsurance pricing analysis of individual new and renewal Inwards Reinsurance Accounts.
  2. Engage with reinsurance broker partners on new and renewal business submissions.
  3. Monitor individual performance of existing bound Inwards transactions quarterly.
  4. Profitability analysis and monitoring of the whole Company Inwards portfolio (AvE, portfolio management modelling, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Successful completion of degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics or some form of Quantitative degree.
  2. Partly Qualified / Nearly Qualified Actuary and working towards Actuarial Qualification is preferred.
  3. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  4. Data analysis experience using either Python or R.
  5. Demonstrated reinsurance underwriting/actuarial acumen, evidenced by at least 2 years of industry experience is preferred.
