The business is undertaking an exciting period of development and expansion to encompass a refurbished central production kitchen, cafe, hospitality space at the International Karting Track and hotel opening to support the site wide business.

Our casual team forms a key part of the department’s strategy in balancing out the workflow and demands of food production and service throughout the year. You will be responsible for delivering a quality, fresh, and consistent food service to the site for hospitality and retail catering, including high-volume race days and daily operations.

Your experience and qualities will be vital in supporting the team and ensuring the success of the department. You will need to actively participate in delivering excellent service and engaging with the team.

Key Relationships

  • Executive Chef, Hospitality & Retail Head Chefs and Sous Chefs
  • Hospitality & Retail catering teams
  • Wider catering team and SCL business departments
Key Responsibilities
  • Work according to agreed service culture and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company systems, processes, and cost control procedures.
  • Support the culinary team in food preparation and delivery, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
  • Collaborate with other departments to follow food safety and health & safety policies.
  • Maintain recipe specifications, portion controls, and dish quality.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Support the food process from ordering, storage, preparation, to delivery.
  • Provide accurate allergen and food safety information for each service.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure positive communication between departments and service staff.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Experience supervising multiple sites or diverse operations, from high-volume hospitality to private dining.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organized and efficient.
  • Attention to detail and pride in work.
  • Professional and warm personality.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Level three Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Understanding of HACCP and COSHH.
  • Flexible approach, including weekends and evenings.
  • Good industry knowledge.
