The hotel features 185 bedrooms and suites, a glamorous cocktail bar, a bustling New York-style restaurant, and eight event rooms including the spectacular Louis XIV-style Grand Ballroom.

Position: Senior Conference and Events Sales Coordinator £31,000 p/a

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Conference & Events Sales team. You will establish and develop relationships with our guests, ensuring their event needs are met and hotel targets are achieved. You will work closely with the Conference & Events Sales Office & Reservations Manager and Assistant Manager, assisting in managing the hotel's commercial diary and developing our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle enquiries via phone, email, and third-party websites, and send proposals meeting Grand standards, focusing on high-profile and complex bookings.
  • Assist in managing daily operations of the department to meet sales targets.
  • Maintain high standards of event management, building relationships to secure repeat business.
  • Develop and coach the sales team, fostering high-quality customer service and sales techniques.
  • Mentor and train new and current employees.
  • Negotiate confidently with clients to secure business profitably.
  • Conduct show rounds to impress clients and secure bookings.
  • Coordinate event details and communicate client requirements to all departments.
  • Lead pre-event meetings for high-value bookings.
  • Stay informed on market trends to maximize revenue streams.
  • Manage online enquiries and allocate them effectively to the team.
  • Distribute sales inquiries and support team activities to optimize rates and revenues.
  • Perform daily checks of inventory and re-sale opportunities.
  • Lead competitor analysis and contribute to departmental strategies.
  • Implement post-event feedback procedures and re-booking strategies.
