We are currently seeking a specialist TIG Welder for one of our established clients in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone proficient in both TIG and MIG welding to join a growing business on a permanent basis.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled welder with experience in MIG and TIG welding processes, capable of working with stainless steel and alloys up to 50 mm thickness. The welder will be responsible for ensuring high-quality results while working to coded standards. This role is a permanent opportunity, subject to a 3-month trial period.

• 4-day work week (Mondays off), day shifts
• Time-served experience in industries such as petrochemical, nuclear, and heavy industries
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding
• Familiar with quality requirements ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards (ASME IX & BSEN ISO)
• Knowledge of working to x-ray standard work and completing all required paperwork
• Conversant with GTAW & GMAW/FCAW welding processes
• Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery and equipment used in welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Competent in welding stainless steels & nickel alloys (5-50mm)
• Competent in welding aluminium alloys (5-50mm)
