About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take full commercial control of a key new build/residential project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, ensuring profitability, and managing contractual obligations to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement commercial strategies to ensure financial success.
2. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for the project.
3. Lead contract negotiations, procurement, and risk management.
4. Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts to maximize project value.
5. Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and financial requirements.
6. Provide commercial insight and analysis to support business decision-making.
7. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
8. Lead and mentor junior commercial staff, fostering professional development.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in construction or a related industry.
3. Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
4. Excellent negotiation, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
7. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
