Senior Clinical Lead - Highly Specialist

Location: Bridgwater

Salary: 50,400 - 57,750 per annum

Full-Time Role: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent

Are you ready to take on a transformative leadership role in Speech and Language Therapy? We are seeking a visionary Senior Clinical Lead to join our multidisciplinary Integrated Therapy Team in Bridgwater. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy services across educational and care settings.

Leadership and Innovation
  • Strategic Vision: Lead the strategic and operational delivery of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy services, ensuring they reflect the highest standards of care and innovation.
  • Clinical Expertise: Dedicate 40% of your time to clinical work, managing a caseload of children and young adults with diverse speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Team Leadership: Provide line management and clinical supervision to a talented team of therapists, mentoring and empowering less experienced professionals as they grow in their careers.

Responsibilities
  • Service Development: Collaborate with the Therapies Director to expand and enhance Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy provisions, contributing to recruitment, resource management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Design, monitor, and implement high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic training for therapists and team members, ensuring a Neurodiversity Affirming and trauma-informed approach.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with professional standards, confidentiality, and safeguarding protocols, while promoting health and safety and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualifications: Recognised post-graduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, along with HCPC Registration.
  • Experience: Ideally, 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, with at least 1 year of experience in supervising or managing a team.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Mobility: Full driving licence for occasional travel to other sites.
