We are recruiting for a 12-month NHS Fixed Term Specialty Doctor Microbiology post for an NHS Trust in Buckinghamshire.
This is a new post for Specialty Doctor in Microbiology. It is envisaged that this post would be suitable for a doctor with at least 3-5 years of postgraduate experience who is interested in exploring infection specialities as a career option or for a doctor with specialist microbiology/infection experience overseas looking to work in the NHS and gain UK experience. However, our client can be flexible on these expectations.
The post holder will be expected to contribute with consultant colleagues and peers to the provision of Clinical Microbiology/Infectious disease services.
Main duties of the job:
Clinical activities run in a four-weekly rota and the total is 9PA. 1 SPA is allocated for CPD and revalidation purposes. This can be worked flexibly with mutual agreement.
Direct clinical activities include medical and surgical specialties, ITU primary care, and Virology and Serology work.
