West Calder High School is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic classroom teacher. The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key position at an exciting time for education.

West Calder High School is a six-year non-denominational comprehensive school offering students a progressive, relevant, challenging, and enjoyable curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We are committed to engaging students in their learning and ensuring all students have the opportunity to enjoy a high-quality educational experience. The current roll is approximately 1165 pupils.

We offer a broad and varied curriculum, emphasizing the need for learners to succeed in their attainment. This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before starting employment, with costs covered by the candidate. The fee for full PVG Scheme membership is £59; existing members pay £18.
