Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as 2x Industrial Engineer Apprentices and 2x Operational Excellence Apprentices. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while working towards a recognised Level 3 Technical Support Technician Engineering qualification. You will play a key role in supporting our operations by analysing processes, identifying improvements, and helping to optimise performance across our UK operation. The role will involve some travel and may require working away from home when needed.

What’s the purpose of role:

The key purpose of this role is to support the Resource planning department in understanding current operational performance by analysing existing processes and systems to provide a baseline. You will then work closely with all areas and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation of the operation. You will also get the opportunity for personal and professional growth and get exposure across wider functions within the business.

In this role you will get the opportunity to work across the entire UK operation and therefore this role will involve travel and where required working away subject to age and working directive.

Who you’ll deal with:

Internal: Primarily you will work closely with qualified Industrial Engineers and Resource planners alongside the support and guidance you will also work with other functions within the business such as Operations, Operational Excellence, Logistics, and quality assurance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support collection and analysing of data to understand current operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support Resource planning department in the development and implementation of solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Operational Excellence, Logistics, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct time studies and process flow analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Help design and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent processes.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.

What you’ll have:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math’s at grade 4/C or above.
  • A genuine interest in analytics, problem-solving with attention to detail focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to demonstrate or work towards managing multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Have lived in the UK for 3 years or more.
