About the role

Pay Details: Grade 1, SCP 2, £24,309 (Pro Rata), £12.60 ph

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday.

Term time: 15 hrs/week (43 weeks).

Recess: 12.5 hrs/week (5 weeks).

Main Place of Work: Ysgol Sant Curig

Description:

• To assist in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients.
• To cover other cleaners during periods of holidays, sickness, staff shortages, and other absences.
• To occasionally assist the chargehand / Site Supervisor with the training of cleaning staff.
• To undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, steam cleaning, site-specific cleaning, builders cleans, recess cleaning, and other cleaning not normally stated in the site specification.

About you

You will need:

• Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or a related discipline/environment.
• Basic understanding of various cleaning tasks required to provide an efficient and effective premises cleaning service.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with members of the public and client officers.
• Be physically able to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and undertake duties effectively.
• Positive and self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changes in priorities and demands.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours.
• Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
