University College Birmingham is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Health and Science Specialist Lecturers to teach across a range of Health and Science programmes within our expanding Further Education provision. You will primarily deliver modules in science subjects that are critical for students progressing into health and science-related professions.

Modules include:

  • Science Investigation Skills
  • Laboratory Techniques and their Application
  • Principles and Applications of Science
  • Cell Metabolism
  • The Human Muscular and Skeletal Systems

With significant growth in our Applied Science and Access to Higher Education - Health Professionals programmes, including a forecasted doubling of student numbers and a record volume of applications for 2025/26, this is an exciting time to join our ambitious team.

You will be part of a committed group of education and industry professionals passionate about preparing students for success in their future careers. You will deliver inspiring and high-quality teaching across first- and second year Applied Science and Access to HE modules and provide academic and pastoral support to a diverse student body. You will actively engage in curriculum innovation and departmental development initiatives. Our goal is to equip learners with the qualifications, practical skills, and knowledge that employers and communities need both now and in the future.
