Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer - Packaging/ FMCG

Location: Porthmadog

Salary: £55,000, Permanent

Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Shift Pattern: Nights - Monday to Thursday - 7pm to 7am

Overview

Ensure equipment runs smoothly through regular maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. Minimise downtime, optimise performance, and ensure safety compliance while supporting process improvements and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Extensive hands-on experience with both electrical and mechanical installations.
• In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Systems.
• Expertise in PLCs, variable speed drives, and troubleshooting control circuits.
• Skilled in diagnosing faults in pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as thermal processes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and valves.
• Proficient in replacing seal kits on high- and low-pressure centrifugal pumps.

Requirements

• 2+ Years in Food & Beverage Manufacturing or FMCG.
• Mechanical & Electrical Skills.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Experience working with fast-moving, flexible packaging production lines.
