MEP Design & Analysis Engineer

Who we are looking for:

The Project Design & Analysis Engineer will cover the whole product portfolio. They will be expected to be involved in the design and verification of Frame and prefabricated modular design from early design stage to project delivery. The design is likely to involve MMOC and offsite manufacture.

The Project Design & Analysis Engineer is expected to converse with customers, produce conceptual designs of MEP bracketry packages, engage in design reviews and model validation which will include clash detection, structural design, and stress analysis. Part of the role will be the optimization of customer designs.

The Project Design & Analysis Engineer is expected to be able to conduct the full design process from Customer model interrogation, CAD Design, BOM Creation, Manufacturing Drawing Creation and Structural Analysis on the design for validation.

What you will do:

  • Design using Autodesk Inventor – Including Frame Generator and FEA.
  • Design for Manufacture using existing manufacturing processes.
  • Use Autodesk Revit & Navisworks for model integration.
  • Conduct Modern Method of Construction, Design and Delivery Strategy.
  • Provide Load and stress calculations.
  • Day to Day design support for Internal and External Sales.
  • Create Data Sheets for Standard Product.
  • Design using offsite manufacture design principles.
  • Technical Support for customer queries and requests.
  • Create initial and budget costings based on designs created.

What you bring:

  • Mechanical & Electrical site experience preferred.
  • Proven engineering experience of Calculation, Stress analysis, FEA.
  • Ability to interact within 3D CAD Environments.
  • Proficient within Inventor, Navisworks, Revit.
  • Proficient with Ansys, Frame generator, Nastran tools for stress analysis.
  • Ability to consider structural implications of MEP design.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ongoing workloads.
  • Innovative problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook, CRM systems.
  • Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing principles.
