An established industry player is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician / Plant Operator for their Aberdare site. This role involves the operation and maintenance of the Compound Plant, ensuring efficient production in a dynamic environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS
A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Plant Operator within the Compound Plant at our Aberdare site. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Compound Plant, this position will be working a 3 shift pattern, as part of a small team to ensure continued production and maintenance operation of plant in a busy environment. A willingness to work flexibly and commitment to work overtime is required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high volume manufacturing environment. Having served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline and ideally educated to HNC level. The successful candidate will have experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
The successful candidate should have experience working a variety of shift patterns, including continuous shifts and must be comfortable working on their own when required, using their own initiative with a strong desire to succeed in a sometimes challenging environment.
The candidate must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, as is the need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of PLC programming.
