Job Description:

The Protective Intelligence Analyst is a role within the Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). The role is responsible for operating and supporting the delivery of intelligence products and services to Securitas and Securitas’ customers. There is a high degree of autonomy expected from this role, with a focus on intelligence output and customer-specific intelligence requirements, and as such the role is suited to someone with 1-2 years’ experience in intelligence and/or investigations.

The primary focus of the Protective Intelligence Analyst is to collect, process, and analyze data and information to inform the production of intelligence products and services, and disseminate these globally to customers internally and commercially.

The role reports directly to the Protective Intelligence Manager and requires strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills, in addition to proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office and specific intelligence tools. Being able to work autonomously is key, supported by guidance from RIC leadership and management.

Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilizing on short notice to meet operational requirements, and some evening and weekend work. The role is Monday – Friday with a weekend rotation. Travel may be required to visit customers occasionally. Responsibilities will evolve over time, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.

Responsibilities
  • Direction of intelligence efforts based on instructions from managers, colleagues, and clients, and based on own initiative.
  • Collection of data and information, including use of intelligence tools and manual research processes.
  • Processing of intelligence into databases, forms, logs, systems, templates, etc.
  • Analysis of data using recognized intelligence techniques, supporting seniors with more complex efforts.
  • Production of finished intelligence products, including alerts, assessments, reports, and investigations, both written and verbal.
  • Dissemination of intelligence products to stakeholders internally and externally, in the UK and overseas.
  • Support operational excellence through ongoing evaluation and feedback, maintaining quality, and implementing latest techniques and best practices.
  • Prioritize and manage workloads for customer projects with varying requirements.
  • Work autonomously in dynamic situations.
  • Manage expectations and collaborate with other teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop new sources and research methods to ensure current methodologies are reflected in intelligence products.
  • Stay updated on innovation within intelligence to develop and implement the latest techniques.
  • Support and guide junior colleagues to maximize their development and morale.
  • Collaborate with the wider organization and external partners, building an intelligence network.

Essential

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver reports to various audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work effectively, managing time to meet objectives and deadlines, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Have a five-year checkable employment history or provide evidence of any unemployment, self-employment, or education during that period.
