Job Description

The Community Care Solicitor will be involved in the following:

  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on community care and court of protection matters and may have an opportunity for involvement in SEN matters, subject to experience.
  • Represent clients as required.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents including including advice letters, grounds of appeal, formal complaints, instructions to experts and counsel, court forms and applications, position statements and witness statements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a high level of service is provided.
  • Participate in business development activities to promote the services of the firm.
  • Ensure all work complies with the firm's quality and management standards.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Community Care Solicitor should have:

  • 2+ years PQE.
  • Experience in community care law, as well as court of protection.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent client care skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
