Sliding Head Machinist

Job Role: CNC Machinist (Sliding Head)

Location: Alfreton

Salary: £13.75 - £19.25 per hour (depending on experience and shifts)

Metalis are currently working with a precision manufacturer, who produce high quality products and are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Sliding Head) to join their team.

Job Duties:

1. Set and operate Star Sliding Head machines
2. Check parts once they have been machined
3. Carry out routine checks on machinery - fill lubricants and coolant
4. Change tooling on the machines
5. Read and work from engineering drawings

Job Requirements:

1. Star Sliding Head experience
2. Able to read and work from engineering drawings
3. Programming knowledge (desired)
4. Willing to work earlies and lates OR permanent nights

Salary & Shift:

£13.75 - £19.25 per hour (depending on experience and shifts)

Rotating shift pattern (earlies and lates OR permanent nights)

Earlies - Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2pm & Friday, 6am - 1pm

Lates - Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 1pm & Friday, 1pm - 8pm

Nights - Sunday, 11pm - 6am & Monday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am
