Job description

HSEQ Manager
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Location: SE London
Regions: London, South East

Long established building contractor who has a large pipeline of work urgently requires a Senior Design Manager for their busy office in SE London.

The company predominantly builds apartment blocks for Local Authorities and Residential Providers. These will be RC blocks to an affordable specification and built throughout London and Greater London areas. The apartments will be between 8 – 18 storeys (generally speaking) and all works are won through competitive tendering and bidding, which they are very successful at given the work in the pipelines. They are a building contractor and work on tight margins (as per the majority of the building contracting market) and need someone who is familiar with this kind of setup.

The ideal candidate will be time served as a HSEQ/H&S or Quality Manager. The successful candidate will also have lengthy experience of having worked for a medium-sized Main Contractor and understand the tight margins these types of companies work by. It is imperative that the successful person for this role has a detailed grasp of H&S, environment, and quality working for a building contractor that builds residential apartment blocks.

This is an exciting role for the right individual, one that will be very rewarding and interesting with a good mix of projects. Reporting to the Managing Director and Senior Contracts Manager, this role has the opportunities to implement HSEQ leadership that defines the strategy, drives implementation, and monitors the performance of the health and safety, environment, and quality programmes to meet the company ambitions.

In return, you can expect a good salary, discretionary bonus, progression, and an interesting solid role.
