MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer, Controls (Level 2) to join our dynamic team in Kent, Washington. In this role, you'll lead the execution of complex control system retrofit projects-from concept through commissioning-focusing on Woodward and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI systems, and auxiliary control systems.

This position combines technical depth, project leadership, and customer interaction. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality, engineered solutions across marine, power generation, and industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales process through requirements gathering, scope definition, estimating, and quote development
  • Manage the full project lifecycle: BOM creation, mechanical/electrical design, drawings, manuals, and documentation
  • Provide in-house technical support to sales, service teams, and customers
  • Lead on-site field service and commissioning activities globally
  • Execute software development and system integration for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and power management solutions
  • Deliver training and support for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain focus on quality, safety, and documentation throughout the project
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience,
    OR 7+ years of practical experience in power generation, automation, or related industries
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, Woodward GAP, Function Block, and ladder logic
  • Familiarity with marine propulsion and power management systems-preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and Passport
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, based on skills and experience
  • Additional Incentives: Compensation for billable field work + annual performance bonus
