Job Description:

The Speech Therapy team at Pulse are currently recruiting for a Band 6/7 Paediatric SLD Speech and Language Therapist in Lincoln. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be working part-time hours.

Position: Paediatric SLD Speech and Language Therapist
Banding: 6 or 7
Location: Lincoln
Hours: 5.5 hours per week, plus 5.5 hours every other week
Duration: 3 Months contract

Essential skills:

• HCPC Registered
• Dysphagia trained
• Experience with 11 students aged 13-18, all with SLD
• Most students are residential; a few are day students
• Contact with parents mainly during EHCP review meetings
• All students receive SLT as part of their school provision, with strategies and advice provided
• Use of total communication approach, including Makaton signing, Aided Language Boards, PECS, and Proloquo2go
• Recent training includes staff training on aided language boards and introduction to Attention Autism strategies
• Participation in social skills groups and activities like colourful semantics
• Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
