Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is seeking a Processing and Governance Manager for Cellular Therapies. In this role, you will manage the Cell Therapy Unit alongside the Director of Cell Therapy, overseeing a new GMP facility with MHRA and HTA licensed laboratories, ensuring compliance with GMP, HTA, JACIE, and UKAS standards.

Essential qualifications include a Honours Degree and MSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline, along with active Professional Registration with the Health Care Professions Council or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Experience in GMP, quality management, laboratory operations, translational cell and gene therapy, HTA requirements, and Health and Safety is required.

Main duties of the job
  1. Ensuring products are produced and stored according to quality standards
  2. Maintaining department, premises, and equipment qualifications
  3. Ensuring appropriate validations and staff training
  4. Leading management reviews of process performance and quality management systems
  5. Managing Cell Therapy scientific and support staff
  6. Supporting translational research and clinical trials
