The British Library, in partnership with Qatar National Library, has digitised over 2 million images related to Qatar and the Gulf region. This collaboration brings rare and unique items to life, making them accessible worldwide through the Qatar Digital Library (QDL). Our Expert Articles section aims to highlight and contextualise these digitised collections, helping users navigate, understand, and enjoy the digital archive.

We are seeking a Content Writer to join the Editorial Team. The role involves researching and writing articles, collaborating with curatorial colleagues to identify suitable topics, conducting research using the archive and secondary sources, and writing articles in accordance with our house style guide.

This is an exciting opportunity to tell stories from the archive, making our digital collections more engaging and accessible. Candidates should have a passion for international history, experience in research, and the ability to write according to style guides, word limits, and strict deadlines.
