Prepworld is looking for a Packaging Operative to join our packaging warehouse on the Day shift.
Duties:
- Moving pallets/stock around the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Unloading delivery vehicles following all intake procedures.
- Operating MHE equipment responsibly, ensuring all documentation is correctly completed.
- Picking and supplying packaging according to daily plans and preparing the airlock room for production, following traceability and barrier control procedures.
- Topping up the print room with labels daily using the Kan Ban system.
- Managing the airlock room and issuing packaging to production, following proper procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized warehouse at all times.
- Providing accurate stock counts for all packaging SKUs.
- Reporting delivery discrepancies to the Supervisor/Team Leader.
- Managing delivery notes, ensuring they are signed and forwarded appropriately.
- Organizing stock logically in the stores and applying internal codes correctly.
- Completing all intake procedures, including stock putaway.
- Updating stock inventory lists accurately.
- Understanding packaging plans and bills of material to identify correct stocks.
- Following instructions and requests from Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Line Managers.
- Recognizing the differences between current, new, and redundant stocks and the importance of segregation.
- Developing knowledge of all packaging SKUs.
- Prioritizing health and safety at all times.
- Learning new IT and work systems.
- Tracking deliveries against schedules and highlighting discrepancies.
- Understanding redundant packaging stocks.
- Comprehending technical requirements related to packaging.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience in warehouse or stock work is advantageous.
- Excellent punctuality, reliability, and attendance.
- Valid FLT certification is advantageous; training can be provided.
- Strong English communication skills (spoken, written, listening).
- Good numeracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- First aid and fire marshal training are advantageous but can be provided.

Hours of work:
05:00 am - 17:00 pm
Days of work:
- Peak season (May - October): 24 weeks
- Off-peak season (October - May): 28 weeks
- Sample schedule: Sunday to Wednesday or Sunday to Tuesday, depending on the week
Pay:
Starting at £12.81 per hour, increasing to £13.63 and then £13.87 after training and development.
