Teaching Assistant (ASD) – Bath

A primary school in Bath is seeking a Teaching Assistant (ASD) to join their resource base, providing dedicated support to children with autism and related needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (ASD):

  1. Provide tailored support to children with ASD, helping them develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
  2. Work one-to-one and in small groups, delivering structured learning activities.
  3. Assist with behaviour management and support students in their daily routines.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals to ensure a positive learning experience.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children with autism or additional needs.
  2. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to support, education and training.
  3. An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
