Where you'll be working:
Join the North West Community Mental Health (NW CMH) Service in Tamworth, a contemporary and innovative service delivering acute mental health care across the North West catchment area. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team that includes medical and allied health professionals committed to evidence-based, person-centred care.

The service has a strong clinical governance structure and is deeply committed to continuous improvement and innovation. You’ll be welcomed into a team that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and leading change in the delivery of ambulatory mental health services.

About the role:
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Participate in treatment planning and case reviews
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support clients with acute, severe, or diverse mental health presentations
  • Apply your expertise autonomously while engaging with others to provide holistic care

About you:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated psychologist who:

  • Is confident delivering evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Works well independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Is flexible, responsive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Is committed to ongoing learning and reflective practice
If no suitable Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist in Training candidates apply, applications from Registered Psychologists will be considered.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • Current registration (or provisional registration if in training) with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Experience or a strong interest in community mental health
