  • Monitor team and budget performance, report progress to stakeholders, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement transmission land procedures, including statutory powers, and contribute to land & planning IT systems and digital processes.
  • Coordinate with Distribution Land Manager, Estates Manager, and Divisional Solicitor on joint matters.
  • Manage personnel, ensuring team skills and knowledge meet project needs, and support Land Officers with complex issues.
  • Ensure team compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct safety audits, and update team on safety issues.

What you’ll bring

  • Expertise in energy consenting, legislation, property law, valuations, Compensation Code, and agriculture practices to mitigate project risks.
  • Experience working with stakeholders, including senior colleagues, solicitors, and industry peers, to develop strategies and policies for land & property portfolios.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team of land professionals.
  • Ability to work independently on high-profile projects with sensitivity and support when needed.
  • Commercial awareness regarding land valuations and project delivery impacts.
  • Basic IT literacy.
