Are you a confident and enthusiastic individual with experience in Sports Coaching or Youth Work? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and a desire to make a lasting impact in a primary school setting?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded Primary School in Fleetwood, looking to appoint a dynamic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
This role is particularly well-suited to someone with a sports coaching, youth work, or behaviour mentoring background, who can bring energy, structure, and positive behaviour support to the classroom.
Supporting pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management strategies
Delivering targeted interventions, including movement-based and outdoor learning
Encouraging pupil engagement and helping develop confidence and independence
Acting as a positive role model both in and out of the classroom
Has experience working with children or young people in sports, youth work or mentoring roles
Can remain calm and supportive under pressure
Is physically active, energetic and able to engage pupils in structured activities
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced child workforce DBS
