Job Description:

Put yourself into a key hardware-oriented Deputy supporting Systems Design Authority role at the forefront of real world demands in the defence industry. Your day-to-day will involve applying your knowledge of Systems Engineering and Digital Electronics to support and evolve radar systems used by those who serve and protect us today.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Leading systems and electronics engineering tests, fault finding, and diagnostics of complex Radar equipment.
  2. Supporting the Design Authority team as a deputy.
  3. Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering, Digital Electronics, and governance.
  4. Driving assurance, governance, and safety of Radar systems with your hardware design/electronics skills.
  5. Applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  6. Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  7. Developing solutions to technical challenges facing Radar Systems.
  8. Leading analysis activities and system design decisions with a holistic understanding of the system.
Skills and Experience required:
  1. Strong background in hardware engineering (electronic/digital) and systems integration.
  2. Hands-on experience with complex Radar equipment for fault finding, testing, and acceptance.
  3. Rigorous approach to safety in complex equipment.
  4. Experience in Systems and Software Integration.
