The Site Security Controller is a key role for Northrop Grumman and is responsible for managing and maintaining NGUKL information and physical security policies, processes, procedures, and activities related to certification for our HM Government sponsored facilities. You will be a true business enabler, willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our staff, capabilities, facilities, and clients are safe, secure, and operational. Security is central to all we do, and the Site Security Controller will be crucial to enabling our future growth in the UK.

Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the lead security representative for the facility, advising and supporting staff across various business units on security matters, including regional satellite offices.
  2. Lead communication regarding security policies on site, fostering collaboration across business units.
  3. Maintain and improve security instructions, seeking efficiencies.
  4. Manage facility on-call rotas, ensuring workspace availability and out-of-hours response.
  5. Coordinate with the vetting manager to maintain a register of security clearances.
  6. Support the UK and EMEA security functions as needed.
  7. Own the full range of risk management and accreditation documents for the facility.
  8. Monitor adherence to security procedures, communicating changes and breaches to governance bodies.
  9. Ensure the effectiveness of security controls, leading their development based on business activities.
  10. Lead security interactions with customers and clients, representing Northrop Grumman.
  11. Support facility operations to maintain security considerations and accreditation.
  12. Occasional overnight domestic travel to regional offices may be required.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in information and/or physical security control within Defence or Government sectors, familiar with relevant guidance and policies.
  • Proven ability to develop security policies and standards.
  • Experience as a senior facility security representative with significant responsibilities.
  • Successful track record of leading security changes with a collaborative, strategic approach.
Security Clearance:
