Brief Description

Manage and direct the Works Delivery team to deliver inspection, maintenance, and renewal of assets to standards. Manage activities within resource levels, budgets, and cost measures to meet safety, asset performance, cost, and quality targets.

About The Role (External)
Key Duties:
  1. Manage and direct the Works Delivery team and Contractors to achieve objectives and meet performance measures.
  2. Develop team members and foster engagement.
  3. Manage staff competence and welfare arrangements.
  4. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain effective service to customers and stakeholders.
  6. Ensure work is carried out safely, following safe systems of work, method statements, and instructions.
  7. Implement safety and asset performance improvement initiatives.
  8. Develop work plans for safe, efficient, and compliant work delivery.
  9. Oversee inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities to standards.
  10. Check work quality and asset compliance.
  11. Prepare work and resource specifications, method statements, and scopes of work.
  12. Manage information updates in systems and records.
  13. Conduct staff surveillance, work quality, and asset condition checks.
  14. Contribute to personal and team development.
  15. Discharge duties in accordance with CDM Regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience managing and leading teams.
  • Experience in team development.
  • Experience in managing comprehensive, compliant work programmes.
  • Ability to promote safe working behaviors.
  • Experience leading change and improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and develop others.
  • Knowledge of building construction, management, or civil engineering standards.
  • Knowledge of budget management and cost control processes.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Relevant competencies and qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or 4, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
