The kitchens and restaurants have consistently showcased excellence over the decades, both nationally and internationally. This is a rare opportunity for someone to be the custodian of The Bath Priory's next culinary journey.
We are looking for an outstanding leader, an inspirational figure, and a culinary expert who has achieved 4 to 5 AA Rosettes; with inspired Michelin star-quality food, and the ability to coach and develop others to do the same.

- The focus is on quality food and great experiences for our guests, cooking for up to 50 covers in our “dining rooms” and up to 75 in casual settings (outdoor terrace and indoor casual restaurant).
- Located in the beautiful City of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the Great Spa town of Europe, surrounded by stunning local produce, regional suppliers, and our own kitchen garden.
About our location:
- Bath is a city in Somerset, England, famous for its Roman-built baths. It lies in the valley of the River Avon, 97 miles west of London and 11 miles southeast of Bristol.
- The hotel is set in a grand 1835 Georgian Manor on 4 acres of gardens, 2 miles from the Roman Baths and 3 miles from the city centre.
- Bath has excellent transport links, including Bath Spa train station on the main line between Bristol and London, and Bristol Airport about an hour away. The city is also close to the M4 motorway.
Ideal candidate profile:
- An experienced and highly skilled chef with 4 to 5 AA Rosettes and Michelin star standards.
- Passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic, and capable of coaching and mentoring their team.
- A love for cooking, being hands-on at key times, and continuously pushing to develop culinary excellence.
- A team player and leader, willing to collaborate with the senior management team to shape and evolve The Bath Priory's guest experience.
- Keen to engage with the local community and partners, including colleges and food shows.
Additional benefits:
- Competitive salary package and benefits.
- Retail and hospitality perks via our Perkbox platform.
- Discounts across our hotels, including 25% off food & beverage and staff rates of £25 B&B per person, with special rates for friends and family.
- Confidential helpline and Employee Assistance Programme for support.
- Free meals on duty.
- Structured development pathways and opportunities for progression, including internal promotions to roles like General Manager.
- Milestone rewards such as Champagne, afternoon tea, dinner, longer stays, extra days off, and personalized gifts for service anniversaries.
