Job summary

A leading global technology provider seeks a Chief Architect to develop a new operating system aimed at competing with iOS and Android. This role involves technical leadership in hardware and software development, requiring advanced qualifications and significant experience in OS architecture and design.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in micro-electronics or software development is required.
• Experience with mobile operating systems or similar is preferred.
• Strong background in OS architecture and programming in C/C++.

This is a high-level role where you will work as the Chief Architect, providing technical leadership and contributing to hardware and software development for innovative technology.

Working for a major global technology provider, you will be responsible for creating a new operating system to compete with iOS and Android, used across mobile, automotive, laptop, and home systems.

Salary levels are flexible and depend on the candidate's experience and requirements.

Must Have Skills:

• Degree / Masters / PhD in micro-electronics or software development
• ASIC design and architecture
• Hardware-software co-design
• Device integration
• Understanding of mobile / RF connectivity requirements
• Significant knowledge of iOS and/or Android OS / MAC-OS
• Deep understanding of operating system architecture
• Embedded device drivers / firmware within an OS
• C / C++ programming
• Experience with complete mobile operating systems or similar

Experience from companies like Apple, Samsung (Tizen), Blackberry, RIM, Symbian, ARM, Qualcomm, Nokia, ST-Ericsson, or similar is preferred, especially in device or OS teams.
