We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our Adult Community team working in practices based in Uttoxeter, Abbots Bromley, and surrounding areas.
Health Care Assistant Band 3 for 22.5 hours a week.
The Adult Community Service provides care to patients in their own homes, covering care homes and working closely with our GP practices and integrated services such as Physio, OT, and Podiatry.
We are an innovative service covering GP practices in the Uttoxeter and surrounding villages’ locality, seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Healthcare Assistant.
Responsibilities include wound care, palliative and end-of-life care, leg ulcer management, continence and catheter care, and administration of injections such as insulin. You will work independently in a community setting, participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs, adhering to policies and procedures. Flexibility on a rota system across a 5-day week, including bank holiday working but not weekends, is required.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will contribute to assessment and implementation of treatment and care/support programs for individuals, families, and carers under the guidance of a registered practitioner. The care/support plans may include:
