Job description

Personal Assistant (PA) P/T @ £18.30/hr in Stokesley - Middlesbrough - TS9

Personal assistant required in the Stokesley area for 7 hours per week – flexible (more hours can be discussed) and arranged in advance, to support with:

  1. Social support,
  2. Organisation,
  3. Meal preparation such as batch cooking and meal planning, shopping.
  4. Some support with heavy household chores such as hoovering, ironing, and laundry.

A busy mum of 6 children, 5 at home aged between 3 and 12 years old. Suitable applicants will need to be aware of how busy family life can be and the challenges presented by dividing time between self-care and being a mum.

Applicants should have good organisational skills and must be willing to be flexible when required. The need for support arises from Adult onset Still's disease, a rare type of inflammatory arthritis that features fevers, rash, and joint pain. This condition has a huge impact on daily life due to the immense pain and discomfort it causes during flare-ups.

No specific training or knowledge is required – only a willingness to be flexible and work with the family to ensure the best outcomes for everyone. It is important to maintain normal family life.

Rate of pay: £18.30 per hour. 7 hours per week (discussed) spread over 3 days, possibly more often if physical health is reduced due to flare-ups of the long-term condition.

Paid annual leave entitlement of equivalent of 5.6 weeks per year (pro rata).

DBS is required for this role and will be arranged by the employer.
