Job description

On a Center Parcs break we want our guests to relax knowing everything is taken care of. Our Retail department provides a fantastic shopping experience, from everyday groceries to sweet treats to toys, gifts and clothing.

Across each village there are a number of retail units, including our very own supermarket; Parcmarket and dedicated sweet shop; Treats, as well as a children’s toy store, a gift shop and our swimwear and accessories shop and these are all complemented by our clothing store.

Whether you visit our on-village supermarket packed full of your favourite brands or our dedicated sweet shop for a little holiday indulgence, one thing’s for sure: our retail teams deliver a memorable experience and excellent service wherever you go.

RETAIL ASSISTANT | £12.37 per hour

We are looking a Retail Assistant with a passion for delivering excellent customer service to join our team. Based in one of our retail outlets, your duties will include operating a till, replenishing stock and welcoming guests in a positive, friendly manner.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a guest facing role, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. You will be confident taking ownership of guest queries or issues, ensuring that they are served in a friendly and efficient manner.

Previous experience within a retail environment would be beneficial, however full training will be provided.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 48 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues and guests
  • Naturally cheerful
  • Patient and friendly

Desirable Requirements

  • Computer literate matched with familiarisation of electronic point of sales (tills)
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in problem solving
  • Retail background or relevant customer service experience
