Job description

This schoolis a welcoming and inclusive primary school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all our pupils. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 or 2 Class Teacher to join a team and make a real difference to the lives of young learners. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1/2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all pupils

  • Foster a love of learning through creative and inspiring teaching

  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress in line with school and national expectations

  • Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports learning and promotes high standards of behaviour

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, assess, and moderate across the phase

  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of all children

  • Maintain clear communication with parents/carers and contribute to reports and meetings as required

  • Take part in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, assemblies and trips

  • Participate fully in staff meetings, training, and CPD opportunities

  • Uphold the school’s values and contribute to its inclusive and caring ethos

Ideal KS1/2 Teacher:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it with expected completion before the start date)

  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2 (including on placement if ECT)

  • Be passionate about providing high-quality education for every child

  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills as a KS1/2 Teacher.

  • Be reflective, enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow professionally

  • Work well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
