About Our Client

A brand new role for an experienced Accounts Assistant based in Woking. You will be working for a growing business reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

Job Description

  1. Generate accurate and timely invoices and posting of shipments based on sales orders.
  2. Ensure all billing data is correct, including pricing, discounts, taxes, and payment terms.
  3. Address any discrepancies in billing or payment terms.
  4. Reconcile invoices against sales orders.
  5. Investigate discrepancies between billed amounts and payments, resolving issues promptly.
  6. Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding billing inquiries, disputes, or payment issues.
  7. Resolve customer billing issues professionally and ensure clear communication regarding payment terms and invoice details.
  8. Follow up on overdue payments and assist with collections when necessary.
  9. Prepare detailed reports on invoicing.
  10. Provide recommendations to improve billing efficiency and reduce errors.
  11. Assist in monthly and year-end financial closing processes.
  12. Adhere to company policies, accounting principles, and legal requirements related to billing and accounts receivable.
  13. Ensure timely and accurate reporting for financial audits.
  14. Work closely with the sales, customer fulfilment, and logistics teams to ensure smooth billing and collections processes.
  15. Continuously assess and improve billing systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  16. Suggest and implement automation tools to enhance the billing process.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience within a similar role
