Job description

Job Title: Group Executive Chef

At Gather & Gather, we are recognized as one of the UK & Ireland's most distinctive catering experts. We are passionate about great food, excellent coffee, and prioritizing our employees and customers. We are currently recruiting for a Group Executive Chef to oversee our Stadia and Venues estate, working with sites in London, Southampton, Charlton, Watford, and Peterborough.

Location: Flexible, with travel required to London, Southampton, Charlton, Watford, and Peterborough

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum + comprehensive benefits

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, with a 5 over 7 shift pattern based on business needs

Join our team to lead culinary excellence and innovation across our UK estate. As Group Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary activities, ensure high-quality menu development, and train our chefs to the highest standards across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive culinary excellence through various projects in collaboration with our executive chefs
  2. Support and develop food offerings across the business
  3. Develop, test, and validate new recipes in line with our culinary team
  4. Build rapport and share best practices with other chefs within the organization
  5. Lead culinary initiatives relevant to new client projects
  6. Provide guidance to chefs and operators, promoting quality, safety, and a positive work environment
  7. Motivate and lead a high-performing culinary team to achieve strategic goals
  8. Support new business opportunities as they arise
Ideal Candidate:
  1. Extensive culinary and retail experience, preferably within stadia environments
  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Clear leadership style
  4. Strong problem-solving and innovative thinking abilities
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  6. Adherence to health & safety practices
  7. Food Safety Level 3, IOSH certification
  8. City & Guilds diploma or equivalent qualification
