This is a great opportunity to join a leading industrial automation equipment supplier as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The role is based in the South East of the UK and is a work-from-home position.

The Application Engineer provides expert technical consulting and solutions for key industrial automation applications to the Sales Teams during pre-sales, considering commercial factors and supporting assigned projects. The fields of expertise for this role include commissioning, software, and controls functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software domains using the latest technologies.
• Assess the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
• Prepare specification lists and write technical elements for customer proposals.
• Create Requirement Specifications in collaboration with customers.
• Ensure deadlines are met and oversee project realization.
• Report on project activities and developments, maintaining accurate project data in company systems.
• Address complaints by establishing action plans as needed.
• Discuss machine concepts to optimize design, define specifications, and develop concepts.
• Assist in drafting account plans.
• Act as an interface between the customer and relevant internal departments during pre-sales, in coordination with the sales engineer.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the team on specific products and applications.
• Support compliance with norms and regulations.
• Identify and support project wins.
• Manage project commissioning at the customer site, coordinating technical activities.
• Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the company.
