If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Data and Analytics role within Mars Pet Nutrition (PN), a vibrant sector in FMCG.

As part of our transformation efforts, the Digital First program has been launched by the Mars PN leadership team. This initiative centers pet parents in our strategies, digitalizes various business processes, and develops capabilities to achieve ambitious growth, earnings, and pet parent-centricity goals. The Digital First agenda demands large-scale digitization, thought leadership, high-quality decision-making, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex challenges while leading a team of top-tier data and analytics professionals.

With Digital First, PN is adopting a product-based model to develop business-facing digital capabilities. The role involves developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and storage solutions to support analytics and machine learning initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering Solutions, this position operates globally in collaboration with finance and master data teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and DevOps engineers.
• Guide the design, implementation, and maintenance of data assets.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture.

Data Asset Delivery

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of data products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure timely, accurate delivery of data products meeting quality standards.

DataOps and Optimization

• Implement DataOps practices to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Automate data pipeline deployment and monitoring with CI/CD tools.

Technical Leadership

• Provide guidance on data engineering best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Standardization and Governance

• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
• Promote data quality, security, and integrity across all data assets.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance for scalability and reliability.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with D&A leadership and product owners to prioritize data initiatives and maximize value.
